- Uniban National League
The UNL is the new management model created by franchisor Uniban Canada to encourage competitiveness, training, and mentoring among VitroPlus/Ziebart franchisees (in Quebec) and UniglassPlus/Ziebart franchisees (outside Quebec), while increasing profitability of the sales outlets and the quality of service offered to customers. Following the model of the National Hockey League, a number of matches are held throughout the year, and at the end of a season, the best teams reap their rewards in terms of their shop’s profitability as well as in awards including galas, trophies, and trips.
The structure consists of these components:
Territory managers face several challenges within the organization and franchise network. Within the UNL, managers have a goal of working with each shop to increase its profitability, develop business plans, provide sales support, contribute to business development, perform administrative tasks, and ensure shop compliance.
A team consisting of a marketing consultant, a graphic designer, and a Web specialist was made available to franchisees for all their print and digital advertising needs. The team members advise franchisees on planning and carrying out regional and local marketing activities. The team also works on developing strategy and advertising material on both a national and local (personalized) level, and contributes to the design and visual layout of the showrooms and the building exteriors.
An Internet presence has become a must, and is an integral part of our customers’ everyday lives. For this reason, as a franchisee, you will automatically have a local Web page that has the advantage of a listing built on our brand’s reputation and sustained e-marketing efforts.
Markets and employees are constantly changing; two good reasons why training and development have become essential for our stores’ success and the attainment of UNL objectives. For business owners, time is a precious resource, often in unfortunately short supply when it comes to properly training new employees or perfecting a team’s training.
Consequently, on an ongoing basis, Uniban offers online training for positions of all levels through the Uniban Academy. There is a wide variety of topics, each approached according to franchisees’ needs.
