Breath Alcohol Tester

Make the right choices when it matters most.

Did you know between 1,250 and 1,500 people are killed and more than 63,000 are injured each year in Canada due to impairment-related crashes*. And alcohol consumption is the leading cause of criminal death in Canada. The consequences related to driving under the influence can be life-changing. How will it affect your job if you lose your license? What about the risks of an accident or the impact of having a criminal record? Imagine if someone else were critically injured or killed because of your negligence?

Your judgement may be impaired when under the influence and this is where a breathalyzer test can be the difference between a safe journey or potentially deadly consequences. Breathalyzers are easy to use, precise, and the best prevention method other than abstaining from alcohol if you know you're going to drive.

What is breathalyzer?

A breathalyzer allows you to know if you have exceeded the permitted alcohol limit. In Canada the maximum legal BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) for fully licensed drivers is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood (0.08%). Driving with BAC over 0.08% is a criminal offence. Note that in Ontario, you will also face serious consequences if your BAC is between 0.05% and 0.08%, commonly referred to as the “warn range.”

Canada has a zero-tolerance policy for new drivers and young people under the age of 21.

How to choose your breathalyzer?

Breathalyzers have been around for almost 50 years. The best detectors have an electrochemical sensor like the devices used by law enforcement and are what our Automotive Experts recommend.
